Reality TV stars Donna Lombardi and Alex Robinson of Black Ink Crew fame began dating in 2017 and were engaged in 2019. Five months after rumors first circulated about their alleged split, Alex confirmed the breakup with Donna after nearly five years of dating.
‘Black Ink Crew’ star Alex Robinson recently confirmed his breakup with Donna Lombardi
In January 2022, reports claimed that Black Ink Crew stars Alex “the Vagina Slayer” Robinson, 29, and Taylor “Donna Marie Lombardi” Pinckney, 28, went their separate ways.
However, neither have publicly commented on their situation yet. Alex confirmed the couple split during an April 2022 Instagram Live while addressing rumors that he and co-star Tatiana “Tatti” Ritter had begun dating.
After blocking someone who apparently asked about his romantic situation, Alex claimed he wouldn’t answer as he felt “it’s no one’s business.”
The tattoo artist confirmed that he’s currently single and not dating Tatti or Donna, adding, “we’re all on good terms” and “nobody has any issues with each other.”
They reportedly split in January 2022
In 2017, Donna met Alex when former manager Melody Mitchell hired him at Black Ink. The couple infamously hooked up in a bathroom stall at a club, and Donna left her relationship to start one with Alex.
They moved in together and have been inseparable ever since. However, she and shop boss Ceaser Emanuel didn’t get along, and Alex continually found himself stuck in the middle.
One argument ended with him getting jumped at Young Bae’s wedding rehearsal, hurting Alex’s back and preventing him from working. Although he and Donna went through a rough patch at the time as he seemingly blamed her for the situation, the two got engaged in 2019 during the season 8 trip to Hawaii for Walt Miller’s marriage.
Speaking to Madame Noire in April 2021, Donna revealed they put their wedding plans on hold but planned to open a nail and tattoo shop together, Claws-N-Ink. However, fans noticed the couple scrubbed each other from their Instagram accounts and stopped following one another around January 2022.
Alex previously accused Donna of domestic violence before recanting
In April 2021, when Black Ink Crew returned with season 9, the crew relocated to Atlanta to work at the tattoo shop there as they couldn’t work in New York due to pandemic regulations.
Even though Donna took a break from tattooing, she also went to the house with everyone. However, another argument resulted in them leaving early. After Alex initially told the group he produced a positive COVID-19 test; he revealed he made it up to get space from Donna when she reportedly scratched his face.
However, she denied his claims. Although a producer expressed her concerns about the relationship, the two left together. A few weeks following the episode, the pair addressed it on Instagram Live, and she doubled down on her story. He backed her and claimed he “falsely accused” his girlfriend.
When season 9 returned in February 2022, Alex retracted his original statement to the group, telling them he cut himself shaving. Black Ink Crew airs Mondays on VH1.
