One does not reach the top without facing any hardships. We all know about the bright side of Max Verstappen’s life as he already is a two-time world champion and is looking to seal his 3rd this year. However, Max Verstappen recently broke his silence about his traumatic childhood as the 25-year-old talks about his family and makes confessions about a heartbreaking memory. Despite being a child, the Dutchman could understand what was going on and opened up about how it affected him.

Max Verstappen was destined to become a great driver having the genes of two racers, Jos Verstappen and Sophie Kumpen. The two-time world champion has always been vocal about how his father taught him everything he knows about racing. Nevertheless, it wasn’t without some hard love that he became the great driver he is today.

Jos Verstappen once left his son at a gas station after an argument during Max’s karting days. It was his mother who brought her back home. Max Verstappen is famous for his cold, ruthless, and aggressive nature. Maybe the reason for such a nature is that Max lacked the soft touch of a mother.
