Over the course of his acting career, Malco has taken on many memorable characters coming from all different walks of life. However, more recently, it has been Malco’s own personal life that has been putting the star in the headlines and on social media.

How many kids does Romany Malco have?

Just last year Malco was in the spotlight for opening up about the birth of his baby boy. The celebrity appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live and shared the story behind his son’s name, Brave Malco, and joked about the ever-changing nuances and transitions that have come with parenting.

Fans and followers of Malco might be surprised that this marked the birth of the actor’s first child. Despite a previous and lengthy former marriage, at the age of 52, Malco became a father.

People sat down with the A Million Little Things star and Malco got real about parenting and the birthing process. The star sweetly stated,

“I saw that baby come out of there, I witnessed the nine months of pregnancy … I called my mom, I was like, ‘Mom, thank you.”

Speaking of mothers, Malco has been withholding the identity of the mother of his son. In an Instagram post that revealed the birth of his son he referred to her as his “life partner” but never mentioned her by name. Part of the caption read, “After witnessing the entire birthing process, I felt a deeper love for my life partner. She loves it when I call her my queen.” This isn’t too surprising considering Malco’s reputation for being very private about his personal and romantic life.

I attribute cheating on my girlfriend to immaturity and insensitivity. My parents cheated on another weekly and I believe it created a blindspot for me.. – – https://t.co/b7DbxQOmwY #AdviceFromAJackass

In 2008, Malco married Taryn Dakha. He met Dakha while filming The Love Guru in 2007. Hitting it off, the two married just about a year later. Though things seemed to be going well in the beginning, ultimately, the pair didn’t seem like a good match. Malco and Dakha divorced in 2016 and details of their split have been kept private.

Romany Malco’s successful acting career

It is hard to believe that Malco was actually a rapper before he was an actor. However, in reflection, his artistic and musical background most likely helped him land some of his most popular roles.

Speaking of, Malco is often recognized for his work on Weeds and performance playing Conrad Shepard. Shortly after the Showtime series came off the air in 2012, the actor appeared as Bob Gardner in Blunt Talk. Malco spent the next few years focusing on films before accepting his next big TV role. In 2018, ABC released A Million Little Things, and amongst the talented cast was Malco.

Taking on the part of Rome Howard, Malco’s character, a complex filmmaker, instantly became a fan favorite. The ABC series is currently in the process of airing its fourth season, and the show doesn’t seem to be going anywhere anytime soon.

When it comes to the actor’s movie experiences, there are a few titles that stand out above the rest. 2012’s Think Like a Man and Last Vegas are just two of the many noteworthy films that the star is often celebrated for. Malco’s performance as Jay in the 2005 film The 40-Year-Old Virgin is one of his most memorable performances, which is crazy to think it almost didn’t happen.

After filming the entire production, Malco tried to back out of The 40-Year-Old Virgin when he feared his mom wouldn’t be able to handle the content. Fortunately, Malco’s character stayed in tact, his mother loved the film, and the actor’s career and fame were propelled by the success of the title. Talk about a win-win-win.
