Calne is embarking upon an exciting time in its history with the opportunity to identify what is really important for the town through the development of a Town Masterplan.

This work follows on from the recent Vision and Scoping Study carried out for Calne.

Calne Town Council is keen to work with local landowners, community groups and  residents to produce a Calne Town Masterplan which aims to make best use of sites and existing facilities. Wiltshire Council is supporting this work.

An exhibition was due to take place at the Towns Winter Festival on 24 November (lay-by at top of High Street) - but THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO WEATHER CONDITIONS

Fleur de Rhe Philipe, cabinet member for strategic planning said: ''We are delighted to assist Calne Town Council with this exciting venture.  It should provide a great opportunity for local groups, landowners and the residents of Calne to work together to shape future town development, and is wholly consistent with the Government's desire to increase local involvement in future planning''
