Tatum and the studio teased the July 1 film last week by releasing the star's poster, and he, too, was looking fine. Then again, that's really not a surprise because everyone looked phenomenal in the first movie! So, how will the second installment differ from the first? The 22 Jump Street star gave some insight to Entertainment Weekly.
"No plot," Tatum joked. "Just a bunch of naked dudes sitting around doing dude stuff. We read all the message boards, and people were like, 'Less story. Less plot. Just dudes' things.' And we listened to that."
In addition to Tatum and Bomer, Magic Mike XXL will also see the return of Joe Manganiello, Kevin Nash and Adam Rodriguez. "Basically, we all were taking penis-enlargement pills since the last one, so we weren't worried about what temperature the room was when we came out to do our dances," he joked. "That's what XXL means."
The sequel follows the stripper group as they head to a stripper convention in Myrtle Beach, S.C., and the hijinks that ensue.
