When Rob Lowe showed up with suddenly overgrown emo hair in this year’s season premiere of Parks and Recreation, we assumed that it would serve as a plot point or at least a withering punch line from Aubrey Plaza. Instead, Lowe’s messy Bieber do has gone uncommented upon for weeks now, though it would seem to be at odds with his character’s super-tidy vibe. Luckily, EW has gotten some answers out of executive producer Mike Schur: Lowe’s Lifetime movie about Drew Peterson was to blame for the disheveled look (the actor was shooting it concurrently), but “his hair will go back to last year’s style around episode 5 or 6.” Just in time for sweeps!
