Jey Uso has had an incredible run in the WWE. Starting with his brother Jimmy in NXT in 2008, the duo quickly gained fame for their high-flying acrobatics. They have come a long way since debuting as The Samoan Soldiers, however, one thing hasn’t changed for Jey: his love for hip-hop.

Jey has always showcased his love for hip-hop in everything he does, but fans don’t know about his love for grillz.

Jey Uso showcases Samoan Swagger with grillz

When The Usos debuted back in 2008, part of their gimmick was relying on their heritage. Reflecting the renowned Anoa’i family of Samoan wrestlers, they styled themselves accordingly. They wore tribal warpaint and did the traditional Samoan dance.

However, after making it to the main roster, things changed. They started to modernize their style and appearance. This led them to ditch the facepaint and go for a more hip-hop-inspired getup. This is where Jey’s love for hip-hop began to show. A look at Jey’s appearance today showcases his love for the genre.

With iced-out earrings, chains, and grillz on his teeth, Jey walks and talks like the artists of the genre he admires. Many fans have noticed his love for wearing grillz on his teeth. While these are for show, they deeply connect to the star.

The grillz Jey sports are made by Krunk Grillz and have been since 2016. His love for his diamond-studded grillz has been showcased on multiple episodes of Monday Night RAW since his return as Main Event Jey Uso. The new theme and swagger he portrays in the ring fit the use of his grillz perfectly. Not only that, but but his fans seem to love it.

Jey Uso rise to the top as a Main Event star

Jey has been a star in the WWE since making the main roster. However, since his move to RAW and betraying Roman Reigns and The Bloodline, he has become a hot commodity. Immediately joining forces with Cody Rhodes on RAW elevated him as a babyface. His feud with The Judgment Day and winning the trust of Sami Zayn have fans interested in the 38-year-old star.

The continuing feud with his brother Jimmy and cousin Reigns is still a focal point of his storyline. With Reigns back from his brief hiatus, it is a matter of time until the two end up in the squared circle again. With Dwayne The Rock Johnson around as well, this could be very interesting.
